Hogwarts: Another Story

"Wouldn't want him to do that now, would we?" he said cheerily. He slowly stroked the Diavolo's chin with the tip of his fingernail. "To think someone is simple would be a rather..." His finger went from the cat's chin to it's throat. "severe mistake." He turned to face her fully for the first time. her beauty was intense. Her face was like a carefully painted portrait of a young woman from an artist's dream. "You're so mature for a 3rd year." he offered. "I know you wouldn't make the same assumption as your feline."

Mellow slithers from underneath Marco's cloak and makes his way to the girl who is seated next to the fire. Mellow swiftly sticks it's tongue out tasting the air, then proceeds to slide up the side of the chair and up the mature Slytherin student's arm. Marco did not notice when she entered the room, but suddenly he felt a shift in the air around him. He was snapped out of his trance. He bore an expression of momentary bewilderment, which was soon replaced by a light smirk on his handsome face. "It seems my pet is fond of you."

"Your words do not a lie, my dear." Marco assured. "Most are dangerous, but there is no fun without it." He smiled slyly. "I discovered a few my first year." he turned and began to head up the steps. "Do me proud and find a few of your own." he called back at her.

"Then it's settled!" He decided on his own. "You are my sister and I am your brother. You must be ecstatic. To be associated with my name is to gain the status of elite." He conceded enthusiastically. He paused and his demeanor shifted a bit. "As my sister you must be at all of my Quidditch matches, practices included. You're only allowed three absences, understood?"

He crossed his arms tapping his elbow with one finger as he continued to think. "Interesting....Faye Drisconte. Pureblood, correct?" He questioned looking her over.

"Take?" he said feigning offense. "I would never." He let Dante jump down to scurry back to his owner. "Was only a joke. Between...housemates." He smiled charismatically. He approached her and held out his hand. "The name is Marco Mellodious. I'm sure you've heard of me."

Marco undid the charm, so he could be seen. Dante was in his arms, being gently petted. "Why so hostile, young one?" He asked curiously. His pet snake, mellow, wrapped itself around his pants leg.

Even the most powerful piece dies for the most important piece. For the war doesn't end at the Queens capture, only the kings.
