Updates / The Chamber of Secrets

This seems to be something that people are unsure about, or confused about. I'm going to aid you in this confusion. The Chamber of Secrets cannot just be stumbled upon. It cannot be accidently accessed. There are certain conditions that must be met to reach this place.

By canon, only a Parselmouth could end up here, or someone that has been around a Parselmouth enough to here the proper syllables to speak. I'll give everyone a clue. The entrance to the Chamber of Secrets is in Moaning Myrtle's bathroom. And you must speak snake. Don't speak snake? You don't belong here.

The other points of entry are through pipes, if you know the schematics of Hogwarts. And can make yourself small enough and bendy enough to make it through them.

Having said this...this room, like the Room of Requirement, should not be assumed to be available. Find out about it's existence. Explore. Be creative. Seek plot to get these things. Yes, I'm urging you all to find your own story! There are many ways to do so. Go forth and prosper.

If an NPC is being played by an admin, feel free to find out which admin is doing so. If you have questions, concerns, ideas, contact this admin directly. They will have no problem helping. It's their job. However, do not take it upon yourself to decide actions that said NPC would take, or think that you can simply decide that said NPC dies. This is not the case.

Cut down on assumptions made, and ask questions. It makes life less stressful for you and your admins. No admin (at least here) will turn you away and say they don't have time for you. They may ask for your patience in these things, but they will help you. Unless said admin in charge of the NPC agrees, there will be no assumed off camera death. Period. End of story.

Updates / Unforgiveables, Fiendfyre and other DARK Spells of Note & You

This is a note to all players of students 1st and 2nd year alike. The use of Unforgiveables, Fiendfyre, and other exceptionally DARK spells are not available to any student right now. You can claim you know them all that you want, lie through your teeth. But DO NOT actually believe that you can cast these things.

When the time comes, it will be discussed amongst the admins when or if it is proper for students to know certain spells and such. You may come to an admin and petition for them. Have a good story, a good reason as to why they should have it. Other than, "Hurr hurr, it's cool." As it takes a unanimous vote from the admins, this isn't going to be a very easy thing to procure at the lower years.

A note upon Fiendfyre. I understand this may not have dawned on everyone, but I'm going to point out something from the canon side of things. Fiendfyre was known as cursed fire. Now, because JK had to be fairly careful what she wrote, she didn't elaborate. Let me do so for you. Fiendfyre is quite literally summoning the flames of HELL. Fiend is just another word for DEMON. Thus the reason for it being so very destructive.

Fiendfyre can and will consume it's caster if control is not kept tight over it, and the counter curse isn't known. Added to that, it will continue to consume and devour all around it, if not contained or countered. This is not something to play with. It is not a shiny new toy. If we allow a student to learn said spell, this is not to become your be all, end all go to spell in duels!

Also weigh very carefully if your character would actually want to truck with demon's fire. Expect it to change your character each time you do use it. A nerd reference. Know how, in Fable, your everyday actions make you good and evil, the things you do open you to other possibilities for things to learn and such? This is going to be something that can shift a character. Much in the same way that the use of the Unforgiveables can shift someone. Or a Horcrux.

Letrimus walked over to Morgana, sitting next to her. "His name was Norwell, and he works for my mother. He was watching me in my sleep, and he took me outside. He was at the end of  a fiendfyre spell. I'm glad Faye taught me that spell, or i probably would have been in trouble. If you look outside, you can still see the scorch marks."

Morgana didn't stop him, only waiting in silence until he'd left entirely. She waved her wand, her spell silent, but checking for the presence anyone but she and Letrimus. As long as the spell came back clear, she locked down the Chamber, putting up a silencing spell around them both. She hissed something foreign, a little dark. It seemed to perfectly close The Chamber off.

She turned her attention to Letrimus as she took a seat. For once, her expression wasn't as foreboding as it usually was. "Sit. Tell me about it. Tell me why, little Eagle. What was this individual's link to you and your family? What did he get from spying on you? Tell me of the manner you chose for disposal." She asked him, attentive to his tale.

"Do you go around kissing every sleeping girl you come across?" she questioned dryly. Her attention turned to the bowtie and Kuro, she raised an eyebrow "Obviously Kuro has more fashion sense than you Trimus. That bowtie is hideous, why are you wearing it along with those suspenders?"

Kuro gave him a look "You must want Faye to tease you.", this time biting the end of the bowtie and pulling at it to try and get it off. Yawning softly Faye opened her eyes, feeling someone kiss her cheek she blushed a dark red.
